(open larger view)The problem
I've always enjoyed working out, but staying consistent with my diet has been a different story.
Tracking calories and macros is useful, but actually doing it is tedious. Searching for individual ingredients, estimating portion sizes, and manually logging everything you eat quickly becomes frustrating — especially when you're hungry and just want to eat.
Eventually, the effort of tracking becomes greater than the motivation to do it, and you stop altogether.
I wanted to solve that friction.
(open larger view)The solution
Together with my partner, I built arvu to make calorie and macro tracking as effortless as possible.
Instead of searching food databases and manually entering every ingredient, users can simply take a photo of their meal. An AI agent analyzes the image and estimates its calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fats.
Users can review and correct the estimates when needed, maintaining control without having to start from scratch.
The experience is deliberately designed around speed and simplicity. The camera is available immediately when opening the app, removing unnecessary steps between deciding to track a meal and actually logging it.
The goal is simple: make tracking your nutrition so easy that you can focus on eating well instead of maintaining a food diary.
Next, we want to expand arvu beyond tracking, into recipes and overall wellbeing.
